We are committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patients, staff, and visitors at our practice. Infection prevention and control (IPC) is a key priority, and we follow guidance issued by NHS Lanarkshire and national standards set by NHS Scotland.
Our procedures include:
- Adhering to strict hand hygiene protocols in line with national guidelines
- Routine cleaning and disinfection of clinical and non-clinical areas
- Safe management and disposal of clinical waste
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where required
- Ongoing staff training in infection prevention and control practices
- Monitoring and auditing of infection control standards
We aim to minimise the risk of infection and ensure the safety of everyone attending the practice.
What We Ask of Patients
To help us maintain a safe environment, we kindly ask patients and visitors to:
- Use the hand sanitiser provided when entering and leaving the premises
- Inform reception if you have symptoms of an infectious illness (e.g. fever, cough, rash, vomiting or diarrhoea)
- Follow any additional guidance provided by staff during your visit
If you have any concerns about infection control, please speak to a member of staff.
