Joining the Practice

Permanent Registration

To register permanently, you’ll need to complete a registration form. You can either:

When you register with us, it’s recommended that you provide information to confirm your:

  • identity
  • address

This means you can be matched to your existing NHS records. You shouldn’t be delayed or refused registration at a GP practice if you can’t provide identification or proof of address.

Anybody in Scotland can access primary care services at a GP practice without charge.

Temporary Registration

You can only permanently register with a GP Practice if you’re staying in the area for more than 3 months. If you’re not, you may still be treated but as a Temporary Resident.

If you require medical help whilst visiting the area, please contact our Practice for a Temporary Resident Registration form. We will aim to help as best we can with the resources available to us.

Accessing someone else’s information

As a parent, family member or carer, you may be able to access services for someone else. We call this having proxy access. We can set this up for you if you are both registered with us.

To request proxy access, please collect a proxy access form from our Reception.
