Prescriptions

To sign up for online ordering, please complete this form and send it burnbrae.medicalpractice@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk - Online Prescription Form. We will send you instructions to register for this service.

We have composed a short leaflet on how to navigate this service - Online Prescriptions Help Leaflet. If you are still having issues, please give us a call or submit a request through askmyGP.

Requests for repeat prescriptions should be ordered online via the link at the top of this page or at the Practice by depositing the slip on the right-hand side of your prescription in the red box. Please refrain from phoning for repeat prescriptions unless already agreed with the

Practice.

Acute prescription requests are separate from your regular medication and can be classed as a "one off" to help you with your treatment. These requests are processed differently to repeat requests. These can be made online, via askmyGP or at Reception.

Prescription requests will be processed and available for collection at the Practice or sent to the chemist of your choice within 72 hours. Please allow additional time for the chemist to prepare your items for dispensing.

Please hand in any hospital discharge prescriptions promptly to allow any changes to be made to your ongoing treatment and support.

Repeat Contraception

If you require another supply of your Contraception medication, please arrange an appointment at our Surgery POD for a contraception check. You can do this through askmyGP or by calling our Patient Care Advisors on 01501 822256/01698 384482.

New Contraception

If you would like to start on contraception medication, or are having issues with your current medication, please get in touch via askmyGP to discuss this with one of our clinicians.

Please be aware, if you are aged 16 or over, we may ask to speak with you directly to protect your confidentiality.

If you are under 16 and would like contraception, you do not need a parent/guardian's permission.

Medication Reviews

Patients on regular medications may be asked to consult with a member of our team to ensure the medication is still recommended and suitable.

Please ensure you take part when required to avoid any unnecessary delays to your medication being issued.

You can also request a review of your medication at any time. Please contact us through askmyGP and we can arrange this.
